The Adams Avenue Business Association (AABA) enjoyed hosting another
successful Adams Avenue Roots & Folk Festival on April 21 & 22, 2007.
There were over 60 live performances on 6 stages, 200 food, arts and
craft vendors and over 20,000 in attendance for the 2 day event.
KSON radio promoted the Roots & Folk Festival with
their “Hometown Handshake” live broadcast from Antique Row Café (3002
Adams Avenue) on Friday April 20 with Cliff & Company. The neighborhood
residents and loyal followers enjoyed their breakfast as Cliff, Tanner
and the crew extended their craziness in the restaurant and over the
airwaves.
The newly introduced wine tasting booth, sponsored
by PRP Wine International for the Roots & Folk Festival, proved to be
very popular. The beer garden sponsored by Karl Strauss Brewing Company
also proved to be quite a hit as there was also a stage in the beer
garden to entertain those who entered. |

The Roots & Folk Festival went very smoothly,
thanks to all of the cooperation and support from staff, the army of
volunteers and the Board of Directors. “This event does much for so many
people”, said Jim Schneider, Executive Director of the AABA. “We promote
our business district, bring musicians together and create a sense of
community for all who attend.”
The Adams Avenue Business Association hosts the
annual Roots & Folk Festival as a community event, promotion for the
business district and as a fundraiser. AABA also hosts two other annual
events; the Taste of Adams Avenue (scheduled for June 24, 2007) and the
Adams Avenue Street Fair (September 29 & 30, 2007) with similar
purposes. For more information about the activities and events of the
Adams Avenue Business Association, visit their website,
