FREE music festival along a two-mile stretch of Adams Avenue spilling
out from east of Texas Street in Normal Heights, west across Interstate 805 and
past Interstate 15 into Kensington. So far, 170 live musical performances
are being scheduled on stages both inside and outside. Thirty local
restaurants and bars will feature music venues. Three community stages
round out the musical offerings.
Adams Avenue Unplugged hours are
11am until 9pm on Saturday 21st and
noon until 7pm on Sunday the 22nd. Many of the bars will have extended
hours this weekend.
Planned stages include:
Adams Park, Kensington Park, Cafe 21, Ken Cafe, Ken Club,
Kensington Grill, Ponce’s Mexican, Cafe Cabaret, Back From Tomboctou,
DiMillie’s, Blind Lady Ale House, Rosie O’ Grady’s, The Ould Sod,
Lestat’s, Triple Crown Pub, El Zarape, Sabuki Sushi, Antique Row
Cafe, Jayne’s Gastropub, Air Conditioned Lounge, Kadan, Cantina
Mayahuel, Twiggs Cafe.
Hundreds of food, beer and craft vendors fill out the things
to see and do this weekend.
This is an event for everyone, with many types of music,
food, drink, and fun!
Included with the musical event will be
artists, crafters and dealers with booths and and open-air market in
Adams Park.
Bands feature folk, traditional roots music, Appalachian
folk songs, bluegrass, Americana, cowboy, Cajun, rockabilly
